Coho salmon spawning in the upper portion of the Kuskokwim River upstream of the Takotna River represent an important component of the genetic and life history variation in the watershed. However, there are no assessment programs monitoring this stock. In this project, we will obtain run timing and relative abundance information for this stock by estimating the stock composition of coho salmon sampled from the Bethel test fishery for four temporal strata per year over a three year period.
