The Arctic-Yukon-Kuskokwim Sustainable Salmon Initiative (AYK SSI) Steering Committee (SC) invites the submission of project pre-proposals.
Pre-proposals provide investigators with an opportunity to submit, and receive feedback, on proposal concepts prior to investing the time and effort required to prepare competitive full proposals. Pre-proposals will be reviewed and evaluated by the AYK SSI Scientific and Technical Committee (STC). Based on this scientific review and consultation with the AYK Steering Committee as necessary, the AYK SSI Scientific and Technical Committee will request some investigators to develop full research proposals for submission and further peer review. To be eligible to submit a full research proposal, investigators must have a successful pre-proposal and be invited to submit a full proposal. Most likely, not all full proposals will be funded. Full proposals will be subjected to peer review and review by the STC. The AYK SSI Steering Committee will make final funding decisions concerning full proposals at its January 2008 meeting.
