The Arctic-Yukon-Kuskokwim Sustainable Salmon Initiative (AYK SSI) is pleased to release its 2024 Invitation to Submit Research Proposals. Under the 2024 Invitation, up to $1.7M is available for funding of research projects addressing declined Chinook and chum salmon populations. Projects will be selected for funding in spring 2024, with contracting completed by May 1st in time for the 2024 field season.

UPDATE: Please use the AYK SSI Online Submission System to submit your proposal(s) by the 5:00pm, May 3, 2022 DEADLINE. Under the 2022 Invitation, up to $1.2M is available for funding of research projects addressing the region’s declined Chinook salmon populations as well as chum salmon populations.
